I am Marina, an artist from Kyiv, Ukraine. I was born in Sumy, but I've been living in Kyiv since I started studying in the university to become a pharmascist. My creative path is very interesting and extraordinary. I am a self-taught artist and my first attempts to draw were in the pharmacy. Now, I've been painting for over 7 years. People are my greatest inspiration - their unique nature, genuinity, beauty, creativity. So my art was born when a when I met a special person. It was love. I like to experiment with shapes, proportions and colors in my art. I paint on canvas or paper, using mainly acrylic paint. People, nature, events and actions, everything that changes and everything around me has impact on my state of mind and as a result pours out on paper or anything else I could apply my creative energy to. I make love, because art is a form of absolute mutual love for me. It is passion, courage, desire which constantly needs nurturing, discipline and hard work. This is how it becomes Art.
