This work belongs to the series: "Heads" which is a staging in which each character is characterized by their own personality. The character occupies the space (presence) and tells us his story (past – present – future) through the flow of unspoken words intuited by the viewer who observes him. The human or animal heads thus occupy space and time, generating direct and physical experiences of both matter (I observe) and our imaginary (I feel) to reach a three-dimensionality of space-time-emotions. Work done in pine wood seeking to show expressions, capture gestures and movements with a single tool: the radial. In the creative process I look for new work techniques and new materials. Forms generate weight, presence and personality in the works. In this series, the wood used was recovered from some “logs in the garden”. At times, I have worked a previously studied form. In others, it has been the very shape of the wood that has provoked the idea. This work is a unique piece and is mounted on a removable iron base, the wood is painted with diluted acrylic paint and wax-based treatment and is sealed and dried, so it will remain as it is in the image. It measures 55 x 29.5 x 25 cm and weighs 7.5 kg. Shipped in a crate.

Olga Caceres was born in Aubervilliers - France and currently lives and works in Madrid (Spain). ARTIST STATEMENT Taking stock of recent years, the variety of sculptural techniques that I work with and the materials that I use enrich a sculptural and thematic language. The story I tell deals with living beings, their feelings and evolutions. Most of the time I work sets of 5 to 15 units. The curiosity to explore and investigate multiple techniques and materials make me independent from the first sketch to the finishing of the work. I enjoy when I work abstract or figurative forms, bronze or wood, carving or welding. Lately, I even complete the sculptural work with photography, as a self-portrait of the artist's feelings.
