Unlucky Fellow Island
("What happened there?")

Sculptural project Topostudies is a result of my passion for storytelling and also - maps and wandering in nature. I am sad that we’re running out of the undiscovered places on Earth. My miniature landforms imagine such remote, little-known locations that explorers are dreaming about. On the map, which guides through the terrain, I am giving just a hint: height of the peak or the bay’s name. I believe that the viewer will know the rest of the story himself.

The material I chose for this natural landscape is clay, painted with watercolours. The ocean is made of resin. Landscape can be displayed with or without the dome. Dome is made of re-used wood and glass.
Included map - ink drawing on paper, is signed. It has dimensions 5-inch x 7 inches and can be framed by the buyer.
