THAMES FLOWER 03 2018

A beautiful upcycled artwork made up out of 100 + historic clay pipe fragments all individually found mudlarking alongside River Thames, London. Age of clay fragments range from between 1580’s, originally when tobacco was introduced to England & 1900’s making this unique conceptual piece of art approximately 400 + years old. Beautifully preserved and designed to be hanged on the wall.
Although designs look similar, if you look closely, they are not. Similarly to the appearance of real flower they are noticeable differences: In the centre of the some flowers you will find pipe bowls and in some necks of ancient bottles / liquid vessels.
Weight of artworks is approximately between: 1.15kg – 1.22kg.
Depth is between: 7-9cm and diameter range between: 22-25cm.
Total edition of Thames Flower artworks: 22.

Please note: In order to gather source material from the Iconic Thames foreshore a valid Foreshore Permit is required from Port of London Authority.
Thank you
