André L. Braga has created his works from 8 years of age, without any classical training in fine arts or followed any specific school. His works do not fall within the classic term work, or any of the known techniques of this category, as Papiê-Machê, Origami and other similar arts. His technique or set of techniques, in fact, were developed by it in order to create what he wanted. Despite having now a greater sophistication in the tools and improved paper types (more resistant and durable), in its essence, it is still based on paper, always white, scissors and glue, only by cutting and folding. The total absence of color and limiting the role is what brings the challenge of taste to create things that jump to a material universe where they could not exist to where the form transcends color and material. Most of his works also employ a great deal of "engineering" to enable, only with the use of paper, his sculptures are mobile and articulated by creating more complex mechanisms. Your ultimate goal, beyond the pleasure of the challenge is to bring a little joy and fun in appreciation of their work.
