Arte Terroso objects of art by Gata Morena The self-taught artist Gata Morena has been working as an independent artist since 1994 and is living in Germany. She calls her workshop „Arte Terroso“, what stands for "earthy art" and expresses her closeness to nature. This is mirrored in all of her works. She mainly works with clay and old wood, draws and paints, photographs and designes on the computer. The clay sculptures are made in the home-made kiln at temperatures fired from 950° - 1200 ° C. The glazes are elaborately worked out by the artist and are produced from the raw materials such as kaolin, feldspar, quartz and coloring oxides. The sculptures and the glazes made by Gata Morena are unique. Her objects could be seen at various exhibitions in Germany, at other in the Palm Garden in Frankfurt am Main, like the Exhibition "Animated vessels". The ceramic figures made by Gata Morena are almost always in or on a vessel. The vessel is part of the sculpture. So far she sold her works in Germany, to Scandinavia, England and the USA.
