Jung Hyun-chul has been an art director and creative director at Cheil Worldwide for 19 years, an advertising company, and has been an upcycling artist since 2017. His work, using discarded delivery (cardboard) boxes and egg plates as materials, criticizes the modern society for using and discarding "people" and "resources" too easily and contains a message that a better world should be created than now. "At first, I made the work with a sense of resistance and homogeneity to life that is easily abandoned when I saw the discarded delivery box. However, as time goes by, we are trying to capture in the work that people who are abandoned due to structural contradictions in modern society can start a new life again at any time." Upcycling art is simply a concern about the survival of mankind beyond the difference in material parts and is a process to form a consensus on the climate and environment.
