Jayne Russell is a photographer whose career has been based out of Hong Kong, London, and Sydney. After a variety of photographic posts in her native Australia, Jayne left Sydney for London. She worked for 18 years in the heart of the Fleet Street newspaper industry, covering some of the world’s most significant news events for newspapers including The Sun, News of the World, and The People. While in London, Jayne also had the significant honour of being chosen as a ‘Royal Rota’ photographers permitted to photograph the British Royal Family, and had the additional honour of conducting a one-on-one shoot with the Queen. She has had other solo shoots with numerous noteworthy celebrities including screen legends Audrey Hepburn and Jack Nicholson to Mel Gibson and Kylie Minogue Jayne’s other areas of expertise include sports and fashion photography. She has covered Grand Prix, the Olympics, Wimbledon, the Australian and British Opens, Rugby and Basketball world cups, Rugby League and dragon boating international events. She has been a designated photographer for Paris and London fashion shows. Now based in Hong Kong, Jayne works for various International News and Sports photo agencies as well as focusing on corporate photography, event coverage, restaurant and food shoots.
