I have been working on the aerial photography as a theme since 1989 and up to/till today. Doing photography from the air is about looking at the ordinary from an unusual perspective. The purpose of the project is, among several things, to look at human activity down on the earth's surface. Furthermore, it is about the landscape's topography, about architecture, about traces of history and about how the landscape is affected and changed, both by humans and by nature itself. Landscape change occurs both in slow natural processes over time, but also as a result of human activity. Man creates structures and architecture for use for various purposes that affect the landscape. Artificial and natural landscapes "live" in unison and are incessant in a process of slow change. Scale. I am fascinated by seeing us physically small humans in comparison with the big artificial structures we create. Architecture can reveal function, or history, or social contexts. Traces of mountain surface-texture testify to/ past ice ages. I have BFA in photography from the University of Gothenburg, 1985-89. I have participated in a number of exhibitions, and received art grants from the Norwegian Arts Council. Next to aerial photographs, I work with a number of other photo projects.
