A brand new release by Richard Heeps, shot on negative in 2016 but just executed in his darkroom in March 2019. 'Lights of Mong Kok', captures the spirit of walking the streets in Hong Kong, the overwhelming buzz of the competing neon signs above your head. The rainbow neon lights in this picture are so vivid they pop. This artwork is part of Richard's portfolio of street photography he is building up which depict the colour, fabric and structure of cities with a distinct style. This artwork is a limited edition of 25, gloss photographic print. Accompanied by a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. The print is very fragile and it is recommended that it is only handled by a professional framer and that it is dry-mounted for framing. Or get in touch to request it framed.

Although I was brought up in East Anglia, I was heavily influenced by America, I visited American bases, I kept magazine cuttings and I followed drag racing. The speed, lifestyle and technicolour is reflected in my imagery. Colour is a major aspect to my work, it drives my equipment and material choices. I have made many bodies of work, while there are distinctions between them they are all linked somehow. I have exhibited widely, in the early part of my career following an exhibition at the Photographers Gallery in 1989, many of my exhibitions toured Museums and Galleries around England. From 2007 presentation of my work has mostly been at Art Fairs in the UK and worldwide where it has been brought by many international collectors. My piece 'Thrills' was part of the 2018 250th Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
