A very famous Catholic Icon ' Christ of the Abyss' in Portofino Italy. This is the original and first statue and was repaired after a wayward Italian fishing boat knocked its hand off. I shot this on the day its repair was revealed to the public. This piece is currently offered in 24 x 16.44 inches. Printed on fine art Hahnemuhle archival quality 350 gsm, 100% cellulose, acid free, pearl fibre based photographic paper. Using Epson Ultrachrome K3 pigment based inks which produce archival prints with excellent permanence and colour fidelity. Telephone +44 (0) 799 059 2000.

Artist Statement & Background Background Zac Macaulay is a professional underwater photographer and lighting underwater cameraman shooting film sequences for dramas, feature films, music videos, TV and commercials for advertising agencies and the movie industry. He started in photography specialising in underwater work from 16 years old, getting his first major break in 1997 when Diesel Jeans asked him to shoot a worldwide campaign for them. Since then he has shot countless campaigns all over the world for clients as diverse as Guinness, The Royal Ballet, Take That, Myleene Klass for Littlewoods, The Disney Channel, The RNLI, Pantene Pro V, Fit Bit, The British Army, The BBC and The National Lottery, Sony Music, and Sky Creative amongst others. Artist Statement Zac considers himself as a team player and he likes to use a strong graphic element in his photographic style, using colour and composition as a thread that runs through his work. As a lighting underwater cameraman and photographer he enjoys the craft of shooting and lighting underwater, and the extra dimension the medium gives you. The mediums can be in the open sea, an underwater studio or pool for ultimate control, all present different and interesting challenges, but always enjoyable. There is no secret to success in anything done well. Its just hard work, focus and a gene or two from your grandparents. Water allows me to have space to shoot creatively and in three dimensions like no other medium. Finally my aim is to make it much more interesting…and to be as good a jazz drummer as I can in the time I have left… Awards I have won 3 international awards for my work including the prestigious Winner, Palme d'Or, Advertising category for best stills image, Antibes Underwater Film and Photography festival, Also the prestigious FRPS - Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society - Film Section.
