Archival pigment print on Epson Cold Press Bright textured, matte fine art paper. Comes signed and numbered by the artist with a 1" white border for framing. The raw minerals mining and production factory beyond is this town's largest employer. The town is isolated and seems removed from today's societal norms. The minerals being mined and produced into chemical compounds are almost all known carcinogens, and most buildings in the town are abandoned. This photograph of a desert landscape was taken during a road trip along Route 66 and the surrounding area. The series of images looks at places that were once bustling, vibrant communities of permanent residents or hopeful travelers on their way to the fulfillment of the American Dream. The moments captured signify what once was, when Route 66 was the Main Street of America and communities, whether permanent or transient, along it thrived. When American factory and mine workers also thrived before the advent of automation and the outsourcing of jobs. Beauty in the Forgotten American Moment shows viewers the ghosts of America past in these places which are at once hauntingly beautiful and nostalgic in a lot of ways and hopeless in many other ways. I find the instances in which the nature in the harsh desert has begun to reclaim the traces of humanity fascinating and powerful, and I hope these photographs will inspire viewers to think deeply about the fleeting but immensely beautiful, ordinary moments in life.

Francesca Dolnier is a photographer known for her prints of all things travel and adventure. As an artist, her mission is to capture the beauty and wonder that she finds everyday in the places and things that surround her and share it with the world. Dolnier's work has taken her from race tracks around the world to the Arctic Circle to New Zealand and lots of places in between. Before working as a photographer, she studied Art History at UT Austin and worked at MoMA in New York City. While working in the corporate art world, she constantly craved more creativity and spontaneity, so she left to start her own fine art photography business. She is partially self-taught and partially taught by her father, who is also a commercial and fine art photographer. Her goal as a photographer is to transport people with her images and offer contemplative scenes for people to reflect on the beauty of life's ordinary moments.
