A birth of an angel - Limited Edition of 25 Photograph

Angelik Kasalia is an artistic photographer certified from PSA, FIAP, IMAGE SANS FRONTIERE and UNITED PHOTOGRAPHERS IINTERNATIONAL, and member of the Photographic Society of Athens and The Cinematic and Photography organization of Syros. Since her childhood she had a passion for visual arts, painting, fashion designing and photography, she loved exploring the varied dimensions and genres of photographic art. Today she would identify her style as modernist, realist with strong liking for abstract work, it’s a need to go around, to look, to see and to show what she saw alwayssearching something new, something she can only find through her camera in her special way. The intuitive nature of pinhole camera photography amazed her years ago, since then she started the Pinhole Project, a lensless experimentation in the research of new creative possibilities. /albums/72157633496084456 She tries to photograph life from her angle, showing you fragments of light, high contrast, shadows and aesthetic integrity. In her photography the protagonist is the person and his way to interactive with himself and sometimes with the others. Along this journey she founds her dimension in the sensual nude photography, where secrets are hide and as Diana Arbus said“…“A picture is a secret about a secret, the more it tells you the less you know.” Angelik has the element of femininity as basic source of inspiration. In the nude photography you cannot fake, fear and courage, soul and body trying to find their balance exploring the intersections between art and sensuality, in each shot she tries to provoke an emotion, a reaction, evokes a desire, a memory, stimulates an impulse. The year 2016 signed a crucial moment in her career, in occasion of the exhibition in Athens titled ‘’Cocoon’’ the art director and photographer Manuel Diumenjo has written : ‘Strength of Nature pick the cam and starts growing...
