In 2004 I moved to Derby and studied commercial video and photography at the University of Derby obtaining a BA in 2007. After finishing university I set up a video production company () and since then I have produced programs about steam locomotives and other railway orientated subjects. I have also been responsible for the production of promotional material for individuals and also several companies throughout the UK. Photography has been a hobby since the age of 15 when one of my uncles bought me my first camera for my birthday. I still have a few photos from this camera I took whilst I was visiting Swindon locomotive works in 1973. I have taken thousands of photos on a variety of 35mm cameras. In 2000 I bought my first digital camera and since then I have taken 10s of thousands of photographs and have also become proficient in the use of Photoshop. I have spent many hours of my time manipulating photographic images using Photoshop. I have developed a work flow of my own and use it as a tool to influence the end result of my finished work. Over time I have used a wide range of filters and layers. There are some effects I have used specifically for one subject and others that I have used on a wider range of subjects. In August 2014 I joined the Saatchi Art site as I wish to start selling my work and I intend to get involved in exhibitions and competitions. In time I am looking to be able to offer a wide range of works and have started off with a passion of mine – steam locomotives. I hope that you find my work interesting. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to know more. Paul Green
