somewhere deep Painting

Observing the dualities of life and seeking moments of balance within them is something i am passionate about. The work is a manifestation of the harmony between chaos & order, spontaneity & composition, form & essence, colors & shapes, light & shadow, opacity & transparency, vividness & subtlety. When we accept the opposites, we start seeing the whole and then experience the sublime, transient & timeless nature of it. These are values that i want to incorporate in my work. Contemplation is the prework and stillness marks the beginning of my work. Then it builds up - sometimes slowly and other times with extreme speed - layer by transparent layer. The light bouncing through and within the layers brings life into it. There is no outcome in mind, every moment has infinite possibilities and the only truth is to surrender and embrace them all. Work to me is a practice for life. While having a successful career in business management, building multimillion dollar businesses and brands, I needed a greater, more personal and boundless kind of intensity. My art practice provided me that intensity and thats when I chose to paint full time. I am a self taught artist, based out of Basel, Switzerland. My works are held in private collections in India, Singapore, United Kingdom and the United States.
