CONTEMPORARY VISUAL ARTIST As an artist I am provoked by the natural process of the environment; it’s beauty balanced by it’s destructive force and the wonder of regeneration in the timeless cycle of life. The spirituality of the indigenous links with the land. In my work I try to evoke an empathetic response concerned with time and space. After a long career in the advertising industry, and teaching art and design, I work as an independent visual artist with my main focus being in painting and ceramics. Travels though the vast spaces of the deep Saharan desert, and the Australian outback have given me the challenge to recreate the feeling of remote and empty space and the emotive qualities of being in unique moments of time.
