Architect, artist, and Sustainable Design advocate. Native of the Dominican Republic (1978), Oché is now based in the New York metropolitan area, where he received a Masters Degree in Arts from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). While architecture is a method to experiment with volumes, colors and materials, he found a greater freedom in painting, exploring and combining abstract expressionism, post-impressionist and self-exploration techniques with geometric narrative elements. When painting, Oché seeks to transplant onto the canvas what he calls “self-assembling structures in controlled freedom,” making them look like they are floating over a colored emptiness; a sort of dancing conversation between him and the canvas.
