Unusual Painting

My name is Alina Negrea,I was born in 1996 and I live in Brașov, Romania,a town situated at the foot of the mountaints. Since childhood I’ve leaned towards the artistic side, drawing and painting becoming a refuge for the reserved and introverted child at that time. I’ve decided to deepen the painting field in 2019 and began attending different courses. I paint with oil colours, although I’ve tried other mediums including acrylics. I don’t have a well defined painting process, an idea can come from a simple thought or perhaps a lucid dream. I am aware of my thoughts and I wake up to note everything down. Even though I use photographs as a reference point, I run them through my own filter and try to add new elements or alter them completely. I juggle in this way, with abstract elements that come in completion of the final work. I am in the search for my own personal aesthetic and I don’t think I have a style at the moment. This is my vision and my ability to transpose a subject to the painting surface at this time. I try to take the beauty and the kindness from this world and simultaneously draw attention to the downside that comes along with them.       Although I don’t have academic studies, I’ve invested a lot of time in learning and praticing oil painting. I took a one year course at a private art school in Brașov and now I continue the self-taught learning process sustained by participating on different workshops abroad. I still think I have a lot more to learn but everything is a process in which I find my desire to move forward. Leonardo da Vinci: “The noblest pleasure is the joy of understanding.”
