Xandria Noir (née 1972) is a critically acclaimed Pakistani contemporary artist based in Suffolk, UK. A self-taught painter since 1989, she was recognized as one of Pakistan’s top 15 minimalist artists in 2019 following her Moi et le Monde Imparfait exhibition at the French Embassy in Islamabad. Her 2021 exhibition, La Perfection Imparfaite, also held in Islamabad, reflected her evolving artistic vision during the pandemic. This body of work introduced a distinct shift in depth and color, diverging from her previous oeuvre. Beyond her collaborations with companies and embassies as a multi-field designer, Noir is a relentless innovator, constantly challenging her own artistic approach. Unbound by a singular style or movement, she continually reinvents her visual language. Her current practice focuses on minimalist acrylic paintings, where rhythm emerges through the interplay of empty space, layered strokes, and delicate lines. Light and form exist in a state of weightlessness, creating compositions that balance precision with fluidity.
