Born in the Oregon countryside, I grew up bucking hay and sitting in the barn sketching the shapes around me. I bent wire into sculptures, blended oil pastels, and threw apples from the tree into the cow pasture to watch them chase after it. I didn't begin using acrylic paints until after I was an adult and wanted to try a new medium. I found myself in this fast-drying paint, layering the colors until I was satisfied. Painting became my therapy and trees my main focus of attention. I hope my work brings you serenity as it has me.
