The Mask Painting

I am an oil painter out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I would consider myself mostly a figurative painter. I discovered early on in my education that art was my path of purpose. Growing up going to art focused schools from elementary to high school, my love for it was nurtured and encouraged. I remember discovering that the human face and portraiture was the most interesting to me in college. I didn't find myself as invested in any other subject matter. That has continued to be true after school and beyond. At this point I feel I have luckily found a balance with a part time job that affords me rent for a large separate studio, and the time to explore what it is I feel the most passionate to paint. I do both commissioned work and figurative work on my own volition.
