This piece was created over a 2 year period. She is the Crone that beckoned in my waking dreams, her eyes were dark pools that drew me into her underworld. She became darker and darker until the moment I embraced her, that is the moment she became bathed in silvery lunar light.

I had a dream… those who know me well, laugh as I begin many stories with those words. Here I share images and messages from my Dreams and Journal through my art and writing. My Process  I love working with oils, I work in layers, one layer builds up the subject and the next layer destroys it. A tension is created by these layers of creation and destruction  revealing the unseen. My years doing process art have given me a love for working with inks and collage, which has come as quite a surprise for me as previously I only worked in oil. My art expresses where I am at that moment, what internal processes I am working with, what aspects of myself I am exploring and discovering, it is a visual representation of my inner and outer world. Very often people back away from my work with fright, they find my images disturbing, initially this threw me into an insecure heap but now I revel in this discomfort my work brings – as an artist I feel it is part of my role to make people uncomfortable, to make them think, to make them question themselves, their lives, their social programming, after all, who are we if we do not question ourselves nd our belief systems? I work with my Medicine of Arts students to reclaim their personal power through art. For me art is a powerful medium to use in exploring our inner world and outer worlds.
