ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I first heard the term "sympthathetic resonance" from a waiter in a restaurant near Central Park in New York. He explained the concept as a musical harmonic phenomenon in which the vibration of a plucked guitar string can make an unplucked string vibrate at the same frequency and create sound. He then related the concept to a martini somehow, and that was the beginning of a wonderful evening. Years later, I came across the term again in a book about energy healing. It is a concept that keeps coming back to me as a way to understand inexplicable connections between people, time, and places. All of my work is created using high quality professional paints and mediums. This painting is matte varnished, gallery-wrapped with black hand-painted edges, wired and ready to hang.
