“What did you do as a child that made the hours pass like minutes? Herein lies the key to your earthly pursuits” - Carl Jung When I paint I forget all about time and space. I’m in the moment with the creative energy flowing through me. It’s beautiful. It has been like this since I was a child. The only subject in school where I felt that time just disappeared was art... so this quote from Carl Jung really resonates with me! Hello! I'm Osa Rosti and I was born in Sweden but for the last 20 years I have called many different parts of the world home. I now live and work in Sicily/Italy. I'm a mixed media artist and I work in both 2D and 3D. I create original and unique art and home decor pieces. To create my sculptures I reclaim materials that have been discarded like plastic, metal, wood and cardboard to build structures that later I cover with my own developed composite material based on papier-mache (paper pulp) and wood paste. Colors are important to me: I use a very vibrant color palette because I love the energizing impact that colors have on the human psyche. Over the years I have taken part in several exhibitions around the world and you can find my work in many private collections. I sell my work online and in selected galleries, shops and markets. I originally come from a background of jewelry design and I received a BA (Hons) in Silversmithing, Jewellery Design and Allied Crafts from the London Guildhall University, London in 2003. Along the way I have also studied ceramics, life drawing and watercolor in Australia, Italy and Malta. Now days I mainly create sculptures and paintings.
