Orestes pursued by the Furies is a famous scene of classical mythology. It was an inspiration for William Bouguereau in 19th century. In 21th century, I decided to work again on that classical theme.

I don't feel that it is necessary to know exactly what I am. The main interest in life and work is to become someone else that you were not in the beginning. Born in Belgium, the sinuous road of life has taken me to Russia, Pakistan, Congo, China and currently UK. In my art, I'm someone who uses 'the means at hand,' that is, the instruments I find at my disposition around me, those which are already there, which had not been especially conceived with an eye to the operation for which they are to be used and to which I try by trial and error to adapt them, not hesitating to change them whenever it appears necessary, or to try several of them at once, even if their form and their origin are heterogenous—and so forth. I believe that a painting is not an artwork unless it hides from the first comer, from the first glance, the law of its composition and the rules of its game. An artwork should remains, moreover, forever imperceptible. Its laws and rules are not, however, harbored in the inaccessibility of a secret; it is simply that they can never be booked, in the present, into anything that could rigorously be called a perception.”
