Born and raised in Nottinghamshire, I am a professional artist based in Reigate, Surrey. I have always pursued my passion for creating expressive oil paintings alongside a successful career as a costume supervisor in the opera industry. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the industry’s most creative designers, travelling across the globe and for some of our country’s most prestigious opera houses including Glyndebourne, English National Opera, The Royal Opera House and The Royal Albert Hall. My paintings have always been about colour, texture and energy. By blending the drama, vivacity and spectacle of the operatic world into my art I aim to evoke emotional reactions that will resonate with the viewer. My artworks are themed around the emotive psyche; exploring both conscious and unconscious dreams and desires.
