ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Concrete is an organic structure that has been synthesized into a man-made material. It’s comparable to our own ageing process as it weathers through time giving it its own unique characteristics and appearance. Through graffiti some artists aspire to make their mark on society and get their name, artwork or message noticed, over time some this work that is exposed to the elements ages and deteriorates too. I use this erosion within my painting as a symbolism of our own passage of time.
