I create abstract paintings because it opens my mind to new ideas and to what I find beautiful and interesting. I love how colors can evoke emotions in paintings. I am deeply inspired by colors and how they interact with one another. Apart from the color palette choice, the gestures and movement in my paintings are completely spontaneous. As soon as I start to move the paint around with brushes and rags, the painting takes off in its own direction. Painting abstractly helps me move through thoughts and emotions more creatively. People will often tell me how a painting makes them feel or what they think of when they see it. The ways in which people interact and respond to my work is completely subjective and I truly love that.
