Nina Brkić was born in Zagreb in1979. She graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design, and then got her Visual arts teacher degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb (Department of teaching methodology, Section – Painting, class of professor Ante Rašić). She both paints professionally and also works as a teacher. She has years of experience working with children. She is leading her own project titled Illustration of Music, the goal of which is to incite creative potentials in children. The project is supported and financed by the Croatian Ministry of Culture and Education. For years she has been holding solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. So far she has staged 20 solo exhibitions and 30 group exhibitions across Croatia, as well as in Romania, Germany, Austria, Hungary, India, Serbia, England, and the United States. She has been involved in organizing sales exhibitions and those of humanitarian character, as well as working on promoting young visual artists of Croatia. She has received further training in Romania, where she spent five months at the Academia de Arta si design in Cluj Napoca. She received special acknowledgment from the jury at the Passion Heritage exhibition in 2005. She has taken part in numerous visual arts colonies in Croatia, as well as in many events related to her vocation. She is a member of the Croatian Association of Visual Artists (HDLU), Croatian Freelance Artists’ Association (HZSU), CroatianVisualArtists'Cooperative(LIKUM). Contact: Email: Web page:
