I created this artwork at a time when I needed strength and support the most. It so happened that my flower bed was destroyed, and I was deeply affected by this event. That’s when I decided to paint something that would give energy and vitality. I realized it had to be a strong, bright red flower ag...

Hello! I am Viktoriia Kolesnykova (ArtDeseo), a Ukrainian artist. I live and work in Ukraine. Thank you for visiting my portfolio! I am a member of the Association of British Botanical Artists (ABA) and the Ukrainian Society of Botanical Artists (SUBA). My works have been showcased at both local and international exhibitions, capturing the interest of classical art enthusiasts and modern seekers of profound meaning alike. I pause for a moment to capture the world in its delicate beauty and profound essence. Through my work, I explore the connection between the plant world, human psyche, and the neuroplasticity of our minds—our ability to adapt, renew, and be reborn. Nature always inspires me: a fragile flower breaking through asphalt, an autumn leaf clinging to a branch, the intricate veins within a petal. I strive to convey not just beauty, but the deeper processes that shape it—resilience, transformation, and inner harmony. Sometimes, my paintings are contemplative and meditative, a study of form, color, and rhythm in nature. Other times, they are symbolic, reflecting the paradoxes of our world: simultaneous blooming and destruction, light and shadow, fragility and strength. But there is always a common thread—reverence for the moment, for life itself, and for the ability of both nature and humanity to flourish, despite everything. I am certain that the world is beautiful and impartial. It exists beyond us, untouched by our choices. But we decide who we become within it—destroyers or creators, those who wither or those who reach for the light.
