In 1984, he graduated with honors from his studies and continued until 1987 to take private painting lessons. In the following years, from 1989 to 1992, Vacheslav had the privilege of associating in artist circles that included figures such as Ildar Khabisov, Arthur Muratov, Damir Muratov, and Andrei Titov. In 1990, Vacheslav Kostyuchenko entered the Omsk State Pedagogical University Faculty of Graphic Arts. In 1993, the artist left for Moscow and opened a gallery at Moscow State University with the assistance of the rector of Moscow State University, Viktor Antonovich Sadovnichy. The gallery at Moscow State University set up a permanent exposition of paintings exhibiting his works along with the works of other masters of Siberia and Moscow. From 1993 to 1996, Vacheslav actively exhibited his works and the works of other masters at various venues in the city of Moscow, most notably at the Presidential Hotel in 1994 and Sofitel Iris Hotel in 1995. From 1993 to 1996, prominent political and cultural figures from Russia and other countries attended the exhibitions organized by Vacheslav Kostyuchenko, including poet/bard Bulat Okudzhava, ballet dancer and choreographer Vladimir Vasiliev, oscar-winning director Nikita Mikhalkov, Russian poet Andrey Voznesensky, singer Joseph Kobzon, philanthropist George Soros and others. In 1996, Vacheslav began to practice the art of interior design, often creating paintings for various interiors and architectual projects, which engaged him successfully for 10 years. Since 2003, Vacheslav has actively engaged in architectural projects and the art of making buildings in the city of Moscow while continuing to paint. In 2013, Vacheslav began to publish his poetic works on the Russian portal and was twice nominated for the national prize of Russia in the field of literature, but refused to participate, citing the fact that the great poets of Russia did not have such a prize.
