As devotion to the cube, Like A Sprayer is the title I gave to this project of "modern" spray paint on a "classic" support: the canvas. Modern painting gave us four major periods: precubism, Analytic Cubism, Synthetic Cubism, and finally the Orphic Cubism. Others give rise to crossovers, Rayonism (synthesis of Futurism of Orphism and cubism ). What I seek today, following the boundaries of these genres, a contemporary interpretation of these codes and artistic postures with today means: computers, 3D software, video projection, paint / pigment spray. I explore a simple painting , abstract AND figurative (if we consider the cube like figure), which attempts to express the universal emotional states and put the cube in motion (kinetic painting). Inspired by the minimalist, including music, I try to reconnect and continue the work of painters such as Robert Delaunay, Richard Paul Lohse, Thilo Maatsch, Horacio Garcia Rossi... Can in principle be described as anti- Manichean, my work attempts to bring the light and shade, play with, mixing modern technology - spray paint - and a classic medium - canvas, and place the convergence of abstract art and contemporary and technically of street- art . My painting is based on simple but strict rules. The first sketch was done on a computer, the color bands converge to a point or go on toward transparency. By following the same rules apply, with masks of paper and tape, a second level of colored bands just draw the edges of a cube and reveals three sides. Either the work stops there, it continues to be a more complex composition. Spray painting offers the possibility of full color, more or less quickly disappears towards transparency. It is in these areas of transparency, when the color crosses another, that operates a second reading level. With the addition of overlapping colored stripes, are juxtaposed to create the form, add the colors that it is more sensitive, strangely bright. When I give the gradient, the construction of my dishes to follow a digital logic based on the numbers 6 , 8, 12 and multiple by 3, all from the features of the figure of the cube, present in all my paintings . Through this work I try to live an experience of pure color that is ultimately rather rare elsewhere in the painting or screen, I get my own equipment, my arm is my print head, my body hardware architecture, my movements are mechanical choreography, my imagination is the computing center .
