About Me: Currently a student who just graduated from Highschool and is planning to attend art school in Europe. I had gotten in touch with oil painting at the age of 8 and for a period of time I disliked art because of my teacher's negative criticism towards me. Due to my teacher’s negativity, I began to crave improvement, no matter how small. That craving caused me to develop a serious commitment to art. In his studio, the six or seven long hours of constant painting, sketching and drawing made me focus on art itself and I began to fall into it deeper. Of course, now wanting to improve isn’t my sole motivation, though it is still a part of it. Now, my motivation also comes from the fact that no matter how hard I tried to put off art, the feeling of wanting to draw, paint, or just to create something would always come back to me, because it makes me feel comfortable and confident as a person. influenced by my teacher and other impressionists as to how they can take something so mundane and make it profound. Which made me fall into that genre of art, which is why most pieces in my portfolio are not conceptual. The reason I made those pieces is because they were the things that are interesting to me; when I see something interesting or have an interesting idea, I paint it because I want to make it mine. My paintings and pieces often look different from the scene or people that inspired it, reflecting and amplifying the small moments and emotions that others might not notice in everyday life. I am currently trying to exchange my master copies of the artist who I admire and my own art work for my tuition in Europe.
