The Migration collection is intended to capture the subject of departure focusing on positive aspect of separation, leaving, breaking ties, closing the old chapter and starting anew. The paper airplane objects representing the dynamic force and a faceless portrait of a traveler, explorer and a pioneer. Simple light emotion of this flying element takes you to those carefree childhood memories, full of play time and moment when one explores physical nature. Imposing or sometimes enveloping this symbol with the clouds I strengthen the message to emphasise the scale of ever-changing terrain around us. The clouds are big, strong, dominating. But full of detail and complexity. In contrast, the paper planes are small, fragile yet perfectly built to take on a flight of undefined trajectory. These little vessels are not meant to be this high up, naturally. However, just like us, they find themselves redefining the limits. Empowered within. Also the detail that connects paper airplanes comes from my Connected series on paper. Visual form showing companionship is found in every journey we take and unites two of my signature collections. H100 x W120 cm / H47" x W39" 2.86cm white edge Gloss varnish (gentle shine) to protect from UV, dust and scuffing. Yuliya is a multidisciplinary painter born in Kazakhstan who have been living in the UK in the past 20 years. She was taught classical arts and trained as a lawyer in prestigious schools both in Kazakhstan and the UK. After spending 15 years in the corporate world, she one day gave up the office in favor of becoming a full time artist. Quickly recognized by online art curators, Yuliya participated in many art fairs and is now represented by few London galleries. Her work has appeared in major movie sets like Marvel's Doctor Strange (2016), ABC's Scandal (2017), will be featured in BBC drama (2025). Yuliya’s art has been a feature in exclusive London and Berkshire clubs, international luxury hotels (Hyatt, The Breakers, many more), was part of special window dressing for Huntsman (2024), private welfare facilities in the US and in many private collections. Yuliya's collections are characterized by an elegant flow and ethereal glow, exploring themes of fragility and strength in her skyscapes, the isolation of the sea in her dreamy sailboat series, urban dynamics in her Connected works on paper, and the cyclical nature of florals in her Blossom collection. Each piece invites viewers into a dreamy elemental realm, evoking a sense of light nostalgia with its weightless emotions. fall involve with me on instagram: @y_martynova_ where i show my life, my work, my beautiful house, daughter and occasionally a hiding hubby
