it started from little Tibetan lamas with their innocent and wise look. These little characters with piercing eyes are telling a story and convey a message. Symbols are used to relate their connection with tradition and animals like birds are the connection with nature.

The material used are gold leafs, gesso with crackle effect , paper and oil paint. Gold is to to signify the richness of their soul. Paper is to signify simplicity. Crackle effects of gesso is to signify wisdom of their soul.

I blend both oil and mixed techniques using material on canvas that dries and cracks the same way as the 'raku' in ceramic.
