A Marx Brother's film included Groucho singing a song about "Lydia the Tattooed Lady" which had me wondering what she would look like. Hopefully you will look at the picture and smile.

Hello, my surreal art is composed by seeking out a normal image, then looking beyond the realities. Where is it? What is it part of? As in nature, a flower may be part of an animal, not all creeping things move slowly. We are told to "get real", to "face up to reality". Reality is caused by a lack of imagination. I've seen it. It's rubbish. The populace spends a greater amount of it's time escaping, with film, tv, music. I am here to facilitate by bringing in new vistas. Listen to the view, smell the colours, feel the contours. None of what I have said is either true or false. My early life was spent ill and isolated which gave me plenty of time to develop my imagination, ask any of my pretend friends. Father died when I was six, quite traumatic. Art helps with the emotions. Having left school, with no qualifications, factory life beckoned. Daydreams filled the hours. Since leaving East London and moving to South Wales the increase in leisure time and reduction in stress has allowed me to put my thoughts onto canvas. Encouraged by fellow artists, who congratulated me on my imagination, I developed my skills and have shown in Ammanford, Llanelli and Saron. Winning the award for "People's Choice"/
