Some time ago horses used to be a part of our everyday life. The horse was always there, it was a friend, sometimes even a last friend. Adventures, discoveries, parades, festivities, great victories and miraculous salvation ... a horse was always an indisputable part of all of that… Horses are different, big, small, strong, sometimes cunning, but always fully devoted. These days a horse is treated more as a hobby. But horses are not aware of that, thus they remain the same… and once you get on a horse - all legends come to life, everything is real!.. Turning you into a great and fearless hero. I've been riding horses since I was twelve. I am over fifty now, and I still think that there’s nothing better than riding a horse. Watching the horse itself is a great pleasure. The most exciting stories are those with horses, best movies are those with horses. I would like to draw or paint all horse stories out there ... The questions are always deeper than the answers, and the answers are discoveries we make within ourselves. My paintings serve as guides, leading you along the pathways of your own thoughts. I aim to offer you the joy of connecting with your inner world, the luxury of harmony and solitude in communication with yourself. I was born in 1963 in Kyiv, Ukraine, and in 1987, I graduated from the painting faculty of the Kyiv Art Academy, under the guidance of Professor A.M. Lopukhov. Since 1990, I have been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. As a professional artist with over 30 years of experience, my artistic journey can be divided into two main periods. The first period, which spanned over 20 years after my graduation, can be described as "Metarealism." The second period, which I refer to as my "return to realism," began around 2010, you may explore my artworks from both periods showcased here.
