Evelina Klanikova is a Latvian born artist living in Heilbronn, Germany. From 2017 until 2021 she studied art at Freie Kunstakademie Mannheim. She mainly works with oil painting in large format, giving her room for powerful, energetic expressions. She paints lively abstract and figurative forms, often combining them into a distinct style of her own. Klanikova flourishes in the exploratory nature of oil paints, giving a variety of opportunities to experiment with the slow drying process through colour combination and detail. Through a mixture of shifting colours, she paints opposing forces through light and darkness, capturing the beauty of change embraced in gentle luminosity. The subjects in her work emulate an intense energy caught in transformation.
