Born in Lille, Nicole Wackenthaler started his work when she was a teenager : it was a time for pen and pencil drawings in e rough notebook. Poster paint colours naturally came enriching her sketches. She enjoyed her first courses in drawing and restoration of artistic works at the “Beaux Arts” in Nancy. It was here that she was be joined by the person who she would choose as her companion. She would follow him to the Alpes, Paris and Lyon. This was the transition into watercolour, “Beaux Arts” of Lyon, her first exhibitions and first prizes. On her return to the Haute Savoie, research and continuous studies helped her to strengthen her know-how, and drove her towards a new transition. After 25 years working in watercolour, very awkward proficiency, it was time to work in oil: emotion gradually took over from precision, the energy of the colours replacing the softness of translucency. So, a new stage in her artistic career development : with a perfectly mastered technique, each canvas is a new adventure in which the target is the sharing of emotions.
