ARISA NIWA 丹羽亜里咲 I was born in Shinjuku / Tokyo in 1976. I've finished middle school and high school in Hong Kong, and then completed 2 years course of theater art at National Academy of Art in Rome, Italy. (Accademia di Belle Arti Roma) Since 1998, I've started art activities, mainly solo exhibitions and group exhibitions. The main theme on my works is 'The peculiar dampness, humidity, and the murmuring feeling of Asian countries, but at the same time, I create artworks related to liquors. In 2006, my original character 'MUGHIKO', who guesses beer brands precisely, made her debut. Mughiko's 'MUGHI' represents 'Malt'.
