Sean Hopp (born 1970) is a surrealist painter. His paintings are featured in public collections in Chicago, Los Angeles, and London, as well as many private collections throughout the US, Europe, and Australia. They are a series of vignettes played out in a backstage labyrinth; short character studies questioning the darker aspects of sanity and self.""I use a combination of oil, acrylic, tempera, charcoal, and ink, using modifications and misunderstandings of traditional oil layering techniques. I usually paint with my fingers and incorporate additional textures of cat hair, dirt, dust, and coffee grounds."
