I have been to many islands. And there is nothing like the isolation, even insulation from the outside world, that world of noise. Even if there is a storm, the island is a refuge, a place to shelter until the storm goes away.

I'm an artist at heart. And yes, I have been an artist all my life. My first painting, in oils, dates back to middle school. My daily occupation is as an executive. Some years ago I saw a friend I admire in North Carolina and found out he has been doing watercolors. So, I just got started with watercolors, and now I also do acrylics, especially when I'm relaxing at home at night, or on weekends. Close to 500 of my paintings are now with friends, family and others all over the United States and 15 other countries. I give the originals away as a gift. Through my painting (and poetry!) I want to show you that God loves you unconditionally and wants to be close to you. In terms of my style, I humbly feel I belong to the stenographic school (Raoul Dufy and the like), with a minimalist approach and leaving much of the perception of the work to the viewer. I was inspired by Degas, who was going blind and decided to paint an "orgy of colors," that is bright, optimistic, full of life. It develops my emotional intelligence!
