Ubong Ettebong, (born May 6th, 2001, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria), is a visual artist who studied Fine and Industrial Art at the prestigious University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria and graduated in 2023 with a BA(Hons) in painting.He participated alongside various international artists in the Artist on the Rise Auction,february 2023 edition presented by Chalkwell Auctions and curated by Chinwerussel Gallery. Ubong's works are driven by his desire to promote racial equality. His paintings are a reflection of both his immediate and past environments.He paints on canvas using oil pigments to create interesting stories. According to him art is his gift and connection to the world.He finds inner peace whenever he creates a work of art, a state of existence in his own playground of freedom. He explores the following themes in his works; self discovery, freedom, and inner happiness.
