Charlotte Evaristo is an abstract visual designer and trained at Central St Martin’s London and the University of Hertfordshire, where she gained her BA Honours degree in Fine Art. My creative process was initially very influenced by the rich, diverse culture of London and its architecture. She is a visual artist with several years experience working in the field. I have travelled a lot overseas, and experienced some countries, historic cultures, especially the Yemen, Tunisia, Malta and Australia. The most recent collection was inspired by my journey to Morocco and South India; I was particularly impressed by these vastly different environments, a sense of disappearing cultures, and their incredibly rich, evocative Landscapes. I aim to create art works which view the dorsal metaphors for the various gate ways in our lives. I am also interested in the interplay between horizontal and vertical lines and planes, to create works which allow the viewer space for personal interpretation. I am always pushing the boundaries of creativity using unusual materials she creates wonderful colourful images which will charm you. I am interested in various ways of dealing with colours and materials, especially the true intense quality and power pigment paint with the intention that these images should be an end in themselves. I feel energy is also derived from gesture and colour, the speed and violence of the mark and the abutment of colours. It can be the energy of aggression or the energy of deep, spiritual strength.
