Nascido a 28 janeiro de 1958 em Sé Nova, Coimbra, Portugal. Expõe regularmente desde 1980. Desenvolve, orienta e participa regularmente Workshops de Pintura, de Musicoterapia e Arte, em Encontros de Carácter Pedagógico e Científico, e Manifestações Artísticas Públicas. No seu Atelier de Pintura em Almalaguês, recebe regularmente alunos do ensino pré-escolar e do ensino básico, de diversas unidades escolares, com quem desenvolve ações pedagógicas orientadas para a estimulação da criatividade. Membro do Movimento Artístico de Coimbra, da MAGENTA, da Associação Arte à Vista, da AAAGP – Associação de Amizade e das Artes Galego Portuguesa, CNAP – Clube Nacional de Artes Plásticas e Membro Fundador da AFAP- FORVM de Artes Plásticas. Foi de 2011 a 2016 Comissario de Arte do Recordatório Rainha Santa/Alfredo Bastos, em Coimbra. Foi nomeado em janeiro de 2013 Académico Correspondente da Federação Brasileira dos Académicos de Ciências, Letras, Artes.
