Exquisite Painting

I am an Atlanta based emerging abstract artist, who creates vibrant and bright artwork using acrylics on stretched canvas and paper. I was born and raised in India.My inspiration for my paintings comes from my childhood memories and my favorite festivals. Coming from a farmer’s family I loved spending time in our countryside farms filled with paddy fields surrounded by meadows with colorful wild flowers, landscapes with birds, butterflies and ponds. My love for color mainly comes from my favorite festivals Holi, celebrated by playing with bright powdered colors and Bathukamma, a festival of arranging colorful wild flowers in to layers of different colors and dancing around them and making colorful rangoli. It’s only after my second child’s birth I practiced painting every day to relieve my postpartum stress. During these days I realized my passion for painting and the joy and peace I experienced in the process. I decided to take it further and took art classes. My work was more representational but I wanted to be more expressive with my work. In that quest I developed an interest and explored abstracts. Now, followed by Meditation I paint colorful abstracts which are created using different tools including my fingers and brushstrokes with bright colors. Through my art I want to bring the sense of joy, happiness and peace to all my art collectors, which I experiences through my creative process.
