Marguerite Horner is a London based artist and a winner of the British Women Artists Award 2018 and the NOA17 MSAmlin prize On graduating with an M.A. in Fine Art in 2004 she was awarded the "˜Kidd Rapinet prize' for outstanding degree work, presented by Sir Peter Blake. In 2006 Marguerites work was short-listed for the first Celeste Painting Prize. She has since been exhibiting widely in Art Fairs and Group Shows, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (2005-2008-2010- 2011-2012-2013) the ING Discerning Eye Exhibition (2005- 2010-2011-2012-2013-2014-2015) ) Art in Action (2009) The Threadneedle Prize (2010-2013) The Lynn Painters Stainer Exhibition (2010-2012) Artsway Open (2010) National Open Competition Exhibition (2011-2012)The Griffin Gallery(2015) 2011 Marguerite exhibited at the 54th Venice Biennale in "˜Afternoon Tea' with WW Gallery and in July Exhibition with one other artist in "˜The MacGuffin' exhibition. 2012 Marguerite had her first London Solo Exhibition "˜The Seen and Unseen' at The PM Gallery. Lady Marina Vaizey C.B.E. (former Art Critic for the FT and Sunday Times and Turner Prize Judge) wrote an essay on her work for the catalogue. In 2013 marguerite exhibited two solo exhibitions 'Being from the inside' at High house gallery and 'Through each Today' at st marylebone church' this was previewed in the guardian guide and her work reviewed in artlyst and NY arts magazine. In 2015 Marguerite exhibited her 2nd London solo exhibition 'Cars and Streets'- recent paintings by Marguerite Horner, at Art Bermondsey Project Space'' Her work is in several public Art collections: Falmouth Art gallery; Swindon art gallery; Rugby Art Gallery; Schneider museum art gallery U.S.A;University of Arizona Museum of Art.
