Diana - Goddess of the hunt Painting

Self - taught artist. My paintings balance a rational vision of life with one that asserts the power of the unconscious and dreams. I have drawn inspiration from mysticism, ancient cultures and Indigenous art and knowledges as my way of imagining alternative realities. At the core of my work is to challenge imposed values and norms, and a search for freedom. I have been highly influenced by Jungian psychoanalysis and have been using art to delve into the unconscious through symbolism, as well as four main Jungian archetypes —the persona, the shadow, the anima or animus and the self.
