Dharmesh Anand formerly Rodolfo Basail Heredia, was born in México City on November 16th, 1952. Since a very young age he was attracted to meditation and found Art as an expression. At the age of 18 he attended Aviation School and graduated as a pilot, and performed as a pilot for Mexicana Airline until the age of 28. At that age he gave up everything and traveled to India pursuing his most deep yearning. Inner peace. He moved to India and lived by the side of Indian Masters, who gave him his name Dharmesh (lord of truth) in 1982. He traveled worldwide and finally settled in Australia in 2000. Although he started painting at a very young age as a self-taught artist, his work thrived in Australia and started exhibiting in several galleries. His work was described as an unquenchable call to the silence of the heart, being his final self-realización that peace is always available, peace is what we really are. Dharmesh came back to Mexico City in 2004, where he started to spread his teachings through yoga and meditation, and continued expressing true art. In 1012 he moves to Los Cabos, where he has the opportunity to open his own Gallery at the heart of the Art District in San José del Cabo. The work which is currently displayed in his gallery shows two main aspects, his abstract line that has as main characteristic the elegant and impeccable use of the technique (oil on canvas) and the enormous expressiveness through the textures and the vitality of the colours he uses. On the other hand, he presents the series "The Art of Buddha" where the artist accomplishes a passionate exploration of the eastern art, utilizing symbols of sacred nature, mainly "The Buddha", having as a result a unique and captivating piece of art. Dharmesh Anand work is an unquenchable call to the silence of the heart. Through the strength and vibrancy of the colors and textures that presents his work, the artist suggests the multiple inner worlds from where invariably emerges the face of a Buddha in deep meditation, evoking the essence of every being in its purest form. Budha's message: "Be a light unto yourself" is the focus of his work , which emanates as the most sincere expression of one who has given his life to truth or self inquiry. Completely in love with the mystery of life, the artist explores also skillfully abstract landscapes that refer to a remote epoch. Anyway Dharmesh Anand work is a constant invitation to encounter that ,which never dies.
