ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I paint... handmade diagrams that occupy the impossible space between idea and reality instructions for imagination I am interested in exploring the tension between chaos and imposed order, the concrete and the imaginary, the known and the unknown. A constant concern is how to reconstruct in the language of abstraction in order to create a new visceral sense of movement through space and an impact on emotion. I am interested in exploring the tension between chaos, constant entropy and imposed order, the concrete and the imaginary, the known and the unknown. I am interested in working the language of abstraction, with a new order and support create a sense of movement in space An emotional and visual impact Being able to explore the tension between chaos and imposed order, the concrete and the imaginary, the known and unknown. To travel, navigation routes, which are born from the stains cartography of experiences, seeing the stain as a purpose and as a destiny I think about how the retelling of stories, the letters are transformed into lines, routes… the reconstruction of imaginary spaces, (renovated interior landscape) Spot Mapping serves as a metaphor for route and search, a reconstruction of the known a great open space, and hopefully unknown a trace of how we see ourselves to where we have been. My paintings locate physical locations and random, imaginary spaces. I use elements of the language of cartography to give a real reference, to locate the eye in something known as before I wanted to locate it with the horizon and the sea. Orient myself in space, in the galaxies, travel to a non-existent world. Drawing, painting, staining, and paper cutting have become my methods of navigating the blurry terrain of memory and imagination. A trip to a world without much imposed law, a space with its own laws, another law of gravity.
